Day 3, Afteroon Session

Gallery Exploration, Ekphrastic Poetry and Unit Planning

Participants had an opportunity to view the Vero Beach Museum's Exhibit, Out of this World: The Art and Artists of NASA. They were asked to use Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) as they explored this awe inspiring exhibit.

Reflecting on their notes and observations of the exhibit, participants created their own Ekphrastic Poems.

Participants had the afternoon to work in grade level teams to begin developing unit plans inspired by what they had experienced so far in the institute.
